Are you replacing one or more missing teeth with dental implants? If so, our dentist, Dr. Meredith McClay , encourages you to do everything you can to keep your dental implants in tip-top shape. If you clean and care for your implants regularly, there is a good chance they can replace your missing teeth and give you the smile you want for many years. So, to keep your restorations in good shape, our dentist encourages you to do the following things:

-Keep up on oral hygiene: It’s best to brush every morning and night (with a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste), floss once a day (with a flossing product that is easy to use), and rinse daily (with antibacterial mouthwash). These things can help you clean your implants and keep the surrounding gums in the best shape possible.

-Attend your routine dental checkups: Make sure to visit our office every six months. This is important because the cleaning treatment provided removes the plaque, tartar, and bacteria from your implants, teeth, and gumline. It’s best to remove these substances so you can prevent gum disease.
